Essex Drive In Movies

Here at Status Marquees we love supporting local companies with local events, so were very pleased to be part of this great day which was Essex’s first outdoor drive in movie and definitely not the last!

2014 is a hugely exciting year for Films Al Fresco. Essex drive in movies is the brand new outdoor cinema experience brought to you by Films Al Fresco. Our aim is to bring the all American concept to the heart of Essex to showcase those classic, modern and must see films.

We are bringing back the days of the 50’s and 60’s when taking the family to drive-ins was the rage. Well you get the chance to relive those days and enjoy the magic of in cinema and watch movies from the comfort of your own car.

Theme nights will be used to suit the time of the year, our first screening will be Saturday 9th August 2014 where we will be showcasing Grease.

Couples, friends and families get the chance to dress up, sing and dance and join in on all those grease classics. We offer a fully fledged fun fair, popcorn, sweets food and drink. Even a fully licensed bar in a marquee provided by Status Marquees!

Chigwell Row Infant School Sports Day & Summer Fete

In July 2013 Status Marquees happily donated two marquees to a local school in Chigwell for their sports day and summer fete.

On the day of the children’s sports day we got a call and we’re asked if we could provide a marquee as it was such a hot day and they needed a place for the children to be able to sit in the shade whilst they each waited for their events, otherwise they wouldn’t have been able to do it. We moved a couple of things about and managed to get it ready just in time! It was a very successful day and we received a lovely thank you card from the children and a nice bottle of whisky from the teachers!

We also provided a marquee for their summer fete as they again wanted a marquee for shade, but this time over their bar area. This ended up being very useful (mostly for the Dad’s!) to keep cool and refreshed. The PTA raised more money for the school than ever before and was told that this was due to the bar area so was very pleased to have helped.

The Connor Saunders Foundation Fund

On 10th June 2012, Status Marquees proudly sponsored a charity event by donating a marquee to help raise funds in remembrance of Connor Saunders. Connor, of Downsway, Woodingdean, Brighton, was just 19 who sadly died in hospital suffering head injuries after being attacked.

The event which took place at The Sports Park in Piddinghoe Avenue, Peacehaven saw hundreds of people attending who helped raise funds to buy lifesaving heart equipment for football clubs across Sussex. Special appearances were made by Connor’s best friend Frankie Cocozza, Kerry Mayo and Gary Hart.

If you would like to help this great cause, please send a donation via The Connor Saunders Foundation website at www.connors5.com.
